Outline of Biblical Events
The Threefold Work of Christ -Continued
Jesus is our only “Redeemer”
There are 66 books in the Bible-39 in the Old 27 in the New. The New is in the Old contained and the old is by the New explained. There is a standard of Godliness for which we all must meet the standards. The standards are not to be lowered. Make no mistake in that-“The law of the land; is not equivalent, with the law of God.”
The bible was written for all classes of Jews, Gentiles, and the Church
We can dislocate scripture by attempting to apply scripture to one class of people when it’s not applicable. Ex: Circumcision was not given to the Gentiles it was given to the Jews.
All scripture is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and for instruction in righteousness.
1 Corinthians 10:11-What happened to Israel was written for our example and our admonition-(they were scattered and corrected.)
His prophetic work touches on the “God Head” Jesus is the expressed image of who God is-the bible says in “Him”-Jesus Colsis2:9 dwells the fullness of the God Head bodily. Glorify me with the glory that I had with the before the foundation of the world, Jesus’ said.
Is the God Head in Jesus? Yes
The Millennium Kingdom is equivalent to 1,000 years of Jesus reigning on earth.
He was the Prophet foretold by Moses Duet.18:15, Peter declares Christ is that Prohet-Acts: 3:19- He foretold his death and resurrection. Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up again; as Jonah was in the belly of the whale for three days so shall the son of God.
He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself, now to appear in the presence of God to make intercession for us, and he that look for him shall he appear unto the second time unto salvation.
His Parabolic teaching was full of prophetic statements, and-His “Olivet Discourse”- Matthew 24 is a key passage of scripture. We must put those statements in perspective
We must distinguish His coming for the Saints-the Church and His coming with the Saints-the Revelation.
There are Four Forms of the Gospel
- Kingdom-
- Grace
- Glorious Gospel-Phase of the Gospel of the Kingdom
- Everlasting Gospel
- Paul references-Another Gospel in revelation
We must distinguish between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven.
The Elect Saints-does not refer to the Church.
Jesus was to establish an earthly kingdom-refer to Matthew 3:2

The Threefold Work of Jesus Christ
The Threefold Work of Christ
The office work of Christ is threefold -Prophet, Priest and King
He does not hold these offices conjointly-at the same time; but successively-which denotes one after the other. His prophetic work extends from creation-of time to his Ascension back unto the heavens.
His Priestly work extends from the Ascension to the Rapture of the church.
His Kingly work extends from His revelation at the close of the tribulation period, until He surrenders the Kingdom to the Father- God. 1 Corinthians 15:28
The Second Advent (2) -a corporal bodily appearance of Christ.
It is very important in any saved person’s life that he/she diligently reads and studies (strong emphasis on studying) the word of the Lord. It is important that you rightly divide the Word –II Timothy 2:15-studying the word is more than reading your bible every day. While that is a good practice -there is a difference between reading and studying.
Show thyself approved unto God; not unto men.- As a Shepard it is important that I mature you in the word so that you don’t make God, Pastor, or Your church ashamed.
Errors- misrepresenting, misquoting, or misinterpreting the word –like forcing something in one dispensation that it does not belong.
You can have the Word of truth but you still must rightly divide the word of truth.
These are a few areas that will aid in properly studying the Bible for beginners.
Studying of the Dispensations and Time-lines, Covenants (8), Advents (2) Class of People (3) -Jews, Gentile, and Church of God-This helps to break down the Bible into applicable periods of time. There are seven dispensations (listed below) which are periods in time in which man is tested in respect to obedience as to some specific revelation to the will of God.
Innocence
Conscience
Human government
Promise
Law
Grace and Truth
Kingdom
The Bible is not an exposition on Theology or on any other topic. It is a revelation of god in the creation of earth, man, salvation, God’s plan and purpose in the ages- infallible 2 Timothy 3:16 -17. All scripture were given by the inspiration of God and it is profitable for doctrine, reproof, rebuking, correcting, instruction, and righteousness that the man of God may be perfect. That is a safeguard to keep a person from going off into a Spirit of Error.
2 Peter 1:19-21- We have also a more sure word of prophecy where unto ye do well if ye take heed. No prophecy of the scripture is given by private interpretation.
The New Testament is enfolded in the Old Testament- Ex: Isaiah 53; The Old Testament is Unfolded in the New Testament. You cannot understand Leviticus without understating Hebrews and Leviticus or Daniel without Revelation.
The language of the Bible is of three kinds- Figurative, Symbolic and Literal.
Three things to avoid in the handling scripture
- Misinterpretation
- Misapplications
- Dislocation of Scripture
We must also not overlook the -“Parabolic Method” -of imparting the truth as Jesus taught in parables.

For Every Valley; There Is A Victory
For Every Valley; There Is a Victory
Victory Is In the Bag-Foundation Subject
2 Kings 3:16
Prepare for victory in that you can endure the valley. "Ditch Diggers Wanted"- that is not a job that most people aspire to-this is what we consider a blue collar job. A blue collar worker is a person who performs manual labor. They are skilled or unskilled working in manufacturing companies-mechanical, maintenance, etc...Labor that requires some physical effort. Digging ditches requires you to get your hands dirty-to bend your back. The word says, “Just as it is in the natural, it is in the Spiritual. Faith requires you to sometimes get your hands dirty. Hebrews 4:1-2. Mix the Word with the Faith to increase your efficiency and power; it’s not the word that needs checked-check your filter. This is the Necessary Additives” The Word & Faith” for greater efficiency.
Stop seeking Joseph before Naphtali- the Struggle--wanting the crown without the cross, wanting accolades without restlessness. Genesis 30:20-28. God was upset with David because he counted people instead of using the necessary additives-“The Word & Faith” 2 Kings 3:6-The brothers made a mistake in making an agreement with the King of Edom-Be mindful of your allegiance-.Counsel with the Lord: Proverbs 3:6
Jehoshaphat waited until they got in trouble before they sought counsel. When you get in real trouble you need to know who to call-not waiting until the trouble comes. Seek the Lord first in all things. Are you thankful for your valleys, trials, and mountains-Give God the Glory as through it all you have learned to trust and depend on "Him!"
