BWCC Leaders
Bishop Barkley E. Bailey, Sr. and First Lady Alfredia Bailey are both PKs (Pastor's Kids) and AKs (Apostolic Kids). Both were born to Spirit-filled parents and reared to acknowledge the Lord in all things. They were united in Holy Matrimony August 12, 1979 and have since become a couple who have unselfishly dedicated their lives to Kingdom work. Bishop Bailey became an ordained Deacon with the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ (COOLJC) of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. in 1982 and served in this capacity for 10 years. Lady Alfredia Bailey became a licensed Social Missionary in August of 1975 also with the COOLJC and received her Senior licensure in 2007. In 1992 Bishop Bailey answered the call to ministry and became an ordained Elder with the COOLJC August of 1994. He was appointed pastor of the Bibleway Church Complex by his father, Bishop Emeritus Richard H. Bailey, July 1997. With this appointment, he also assumed the leadership role of both the Bibleway COOLJC in St. Louis City and the Bibleway COOLJC in Jefferson City, Missouri. Proven worthy of promotion, he was elevated to the office of Bishop August 2005 at the 86th International Holy Convocation of the COOLJC in Columbia, South Carolina. Bishop Bailey aspires to grow the ministry to one that continuously adds souls to the body of Christ by producing sound leaders and teachers of the doctrine who are able to extend the gospel to the world. Lady Bailey provides the balance, sensitivity, and nurturing essential to this growth. The touch that Lady Bailey brings to this ministry is immeasurable and irreplaceable. Together, Pastor and Lady Bailey strive for excellence in all that they do for the Lord.
