MISSIONARY DEPARTMENT
The Missionary Department of the Bibleway Church Complex was formed in 1961 under the pastoralship of Bishop Richard H. Bailey and the leadership of Mother Tommie L. Bailey who has served as local president since the inception of the union. This department was originally created to:
-
Give its members an opportunity to aid pastors and ministers in bringing souls to Christ
-
Be a comfort to those in need
-
Visit the orphans, the sick and the widows
-
Give godly counsel in the fear of God
-
Support the missionaries who have proven themselves worthy in obedience
Drawing from its original mission, today, the Missionary Department exists to:
-
Have its members teach the infallible, inspired word of God
-
Train and educate young women to adhere to the doctrine of Christ
-
Help pastors and ministers in bringing souls to Christ
-
Lend a hand to those in need within the church and the community
Its vision is to enhance the Kingdom of Christ through outreach programs, missionary crusades and revivals and to encourage women to be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.
The BWCC Missionary Department meets the fourth Tuesday of each mouth and every second Sunday.
